Human rights debate

The newspapers often have a go at human rights (which is their right) and sometimes there can be reactions to “throw the baby out with the bathwater”

I’m interested in Human Rights because if you take a look at any documentary channel you will quickly realise that we as Human beings can be incredibly cruel to our fellow humans. So there is an argument that the moment we throw out our Human rights many worse things quickly follow.  There are many universal Human Rights some of which are below;

1.        We are all born free and equal
2.        Rights against discrimination
3.        Right to live free
4.        No slavery
5.        No torture
6.        Equal before the law
7.        Protected by the law
8.        No unfair detainment
9.        Right to trial
10.       Innocent until proven guilty
11.       Right to privacy
12.       Freedom to move
13.       Right to asylum
14.       Right to a nationality
15.       Right to marriage & family
16.       Right to ownership
17.       Freedom of thought
18.       Freedom of expression
19.       Freedom of assembly
20.       Right to democracy
21.       Social security
22.       Workers rights
23.       Right to play
24.       Food and shelter for all
25.       Right to education

And probably many more, thinking about these basics I would like to know your views. Read people who are rich are bored
